Soleil Niklasson Quintet

Soleil was born in Chicago Illinois, USA and grew up in Los Angeles, California. As a child she already started her career at the age of five on television and later received an "Emmy" for her vocal talent together with the famous singer Oscar Brown Jr. During the following years she stood on stage with artists like Billy Preston, Linda Hopkins and Stan Getz. With her debut album 'Coming Home' (Blue Flame Records) with the band Hermosa she has been highly praised. Her musical creativity is based on her love to Afro-American music, to Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel, Latin-American and Flamenco music. I am very happy to a part of her most recent quintet. Soleil is a spiritual and powerful singer, who captivates her audience and takes them on a colourful journey full of passion.  In 2023 we released the CD 'Rise' on Jazz Sick Records.

Anette Maiburg Ensemble

Combining classical, jazz and world music, the musicians of the Maiburg Ensemble bring their individual artistic influences and experiences to reinterpret classical pieces in an innovative and exciting way. The result is timbres, rhythms and improvisations that add a new dimension to classical works and provide a fresh and contemporary take on classical music.
As project director and flutist of the Maiburg Ensemble, Anette Maiburg coordinates the various elements of the programs. She works closely with authors, dancers, and artists from other disciplines to develop unique and innovative projects. By integrating literature and dance or intercultural encounters, the ensemble creates an interdisciplinary platform that promotes exchange and collaboration between different artistic fields. This results in fascinating and inspiring events that transport the audience into a world of creative diversity.

Nikola Materne & Bossa Noire

Nikola Materne blends the delicate melancholy of bossa quite wonderfully with her own German lyrics. Together with the band Bossanoire, she turns everyday occurrences into intoxicating songs that are hard to resist, as they remind you of things you have experienced yourself. While a certain lightness resonates with the melancholic lyrics, the more cheerful songs are accompanied by a fleeting melancholy. The musicians, first and foremost pianist and saxophonist Jost Ziegner, who composed and arranged the songs, as well as guitarist Axel Zinowsky, bassist Caspar van Meel and drummer Jochen Welle, create sound pictures full of grace, groove and beauty, in which Nikola Maternes emotionally controlled voice is allowed to audibly enjoy the free spaces. In doing so, the singer proves that it is also possible in German to get pretty close to the soft, round tones of the original bossa language Portuguese.
